The government is therefore focused on a series of key initiatives and activities that strengthen its Cyber posture and safeguard its ‘Digital Sovereignty’. These include institutional frameworks spearheaded with the establishment of the General Directorate of Information Systems Security (DGSSI) as the national authority in charge of Cyber Security; the focus on human resources and upskilling and strengthening the resilience of information systems especially pertaining to critical national infrastructure. In addition, Morocco has established international and regional cooperation aimed at collaboration and exchanging expertise in this dynamic field.
