Templar Executives and IFS Skillsnet Deliver Training to Financial Sector
Cyber attacks are becoming a systemic financial risk according to the Financial Times, who documented the case of world’s largest sovereign wealth fund, Norges Bank Investment Management. The Fund suffers from around 100,000 Cyber attacks a year, 1,000 of which are classified as ‘serious’ – that’s 1,000 chances to exploit vulnerabilities of banks, stock exchanges and essential financial infrastructure.
At Templar Executives’ recent Cyber Leadership Symposium, in partnership with Lancaster University, it was highlighted that “it is important to see Cyber as a business risk and to view it as an organisational value driver”. This value can only be realised if Senior Executives and the Board keep pace with the latest threats and understand how to best respond and manage risk in the context of business enablement. To support this imperative, Templar Executives, in partnership with IFS Skillsnet, will be delivering their NCSC Certified Cyber Security for Boards and Senior Managers course on the 13th September 2022. This presents a timely opportunity for delegates to upskill on Cyber Security best practices for their organisation.

Templar Executives Exhibits at CyberUK 2022
Exhibiting at CyberUK 2022 last week provided a great opportunity for Templar Executives to catch up in person with friends and colleague at the UK’s flagship Cyber Security Conference in Newport. The agenda was ambitious and the tone upbeat as keynote speakers from our security agencies highlighted how they are working together and combining defensive and offensive cyber capabilities to disrupt criminal activity on an “immense scale”.
Highlighting the current global landscape, the theme of the Conference was based on the latest National Cyber Strategy. It examined what it means to take a collaborative ‘whole-of-society’ approach to Cyber Security encompassing the role of citizens, businesses of all sizes, academia, NGOs, local and devolved governments, and how we must all work together to raise UK Cyber resilience. We are excited to be supporting the UK National agenda with some of our newest and latest initiatives such as the ‘Cyber Centre of Excellence for Africa’ based in Morocco and our joint Conference on 5th-6th July with Lancaster University launching our Cyber Executive MBA. Our thanks to the organisers and all who visited our stand including Juliette Wilcox, CMG, UK Cyber Security Ambassador and Lindy Cameron, CEO of the NCSC – we look forward to following up on the dialogues and, of course, the Conference next year!
